Britain’s Got Talent fans were left concerned after Teddy Magic, 8, pulled out of the first live semi-final of the series.
Britain’s Got Talent viewers are clamouring for clarity after Teddy Magic pulled the plug on his appearance in the first live semi-finals. The series sprang into action this Saturday (April 26) as dinosaur rock band Heavysaurus opened the show. Anticipation was high for eight year old Teddy Magic to dazzle as the second act, but following his introduction, hosts Ant and Dec announced the young magician ‘wasn’t ready’ to take the stage.
The pair then engaged the judges about Heavysaurus to fill the time, whilst a visibly irate Simon Cowell seethed at the disruption. Ant said: “Now Teddy isn’t quite ready backstage yet, so we’ll chat to you judges,” with Dec chipping in that they would need to implement a “little change of plan”. Cowell, clearly agitated, questioned, “Wait, so the act’s not ready? ,” to which Ant fired back: “He’s only eight years old, so back off!”, reports Manchester Evening News.
